Born and raised in Porterville, California, Ranjeet Bajwa, O.D., is a highly distinguished optometrist providing specialized eye care at Living Water Clinic.
With an extensive background in ocular disease management and a history of leadership within the optometric profession, Dr. Bajwa brings a wealth of expertise to his hometown and the surrounding communities of the Central Valley.
Dr. Bajwa earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis, followed by his Doctor of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO).
He further refined his clinical skills through a specialized one-year residency at the Crown Point Indian Health Services Hospital within the Navajo Nation in New Mexico. His rigorous training path included rotations at Kaiser Permanente, the Center for the Partially Sighted in Santa Monica, and the Foothill Presbyterian Hospital Low Vision Clinic.
As a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, Dr. Bajwa is licensed to diagnose, treat, and manage a comprehensive range of ocular diseases. His clinical focus includes the management of glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and chronic dry eye. Additionally, he provides expert pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing corrective surgeries, such as LASIK, cataract removal, and refractive lens exchange.
Dr. Bajwa’s commitment to the profession is evidenced by his leadership roles, most notably serving as the President of the California Optometric Association from 2018–2019. He has also dedicated his time to global humanitarian efforts, volunteering for clinical missions with the Special Olympics, OneSight, and Volunteer Optometric Service to Humanity (VOSH).
Outside of the clinic, he is a devoted husband and father of two. He enjoys a wide variety of personal interests, including cooking, music, and photography, though he finds his greatest joy in reading and playing with his children.
