Originally from Fullerton, California, Kathan Shah, D.P.M., is a highly trained podiatric physician serving patients at Living Water Clinic. Driven by a deep interest in the biological sciences and a commitment to helping others—particularly in specialized areas of health that are often overlooked—Dr. Shah provides expert care for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions for the local community.
Dr. Shah pursued his undergraduate education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the California School of Podiatric Medicine in Oakland. To further refine his surgical expertise, he completed a comprehensive residency at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas, where he participated in over 800 surgical cases involving forefoot, midfoot, and rearfoot pathologies.
Throughout his extensive clinical training, Dr. Shah completed rotations in orthopedic surgery, internal medicine, and infectious disease, which provided him with a well-rounded perspective on patient health. His specialization focuses on both surgical and non-surgical treatments, including the management of acute injuries and chronic conditions such as plantar fasciitis and ingrown toenails.
