Originally from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Jose Salas, M.D., is a highly experienced obstetrician and gynecologist serving patients at Living Water Clinic – Clínica Agua Viva in Woodlake, Porterville, and Lindsay.
With a distinguished career spanning several decades, Dr. Salas provides comprehensive OB/GYN and family practice services, driven by a lifelong fascination with the human body and a deep-seated passion for helping others.
Dr. Salas began his medical education at the Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, Facultad de Medicina, where he earned his medical degree in 1969.
He continued his advanced studies at the University of Virginia School of Medicine, graduating in 1971. His rigorous training path included serving as a surgical assistant in West Virginia and culminated in his residency at the West Virginia University School of Medicine – Wheeling Division, where he was appointed Chief Resident in obstetrics and gynecology.
Throughout his professional journey, Dr. Salas has served in diverse clinical roles, including as a staff physician and surgeon at the Porterville Family Health Center and as the founder of his own successful private practice in Porterville. His extensive surgical and clinical background allows him to offer specialized services such as prenatal care, infertility support, and family planning. He remains dedicated to guiding patients through healthy pregnancies and providing women of all ages with essential preventive health measures.
