Jerry Neria, M.D., MPH, is a highly trained physician with an extensive history and a profound passion for health promotion and lifestyle medicine.

Serving patients at all Living Water Clinic sites, Dr. Neria is a firm believer in the transformative power of lifestyle interventions, often prioritizing sustainable habit changes as a primary foundation for long-term health.

Dr. Neria’s commitment to wellness began during his years as a competitive teenage bodybuilder, leading him to earn a degree in Kinesiology from the University of Southern California. While pursuing his undergraduate studies, he served as a personal trainer and later expanded his impact by founding Need2Train LLC and co-founding the nutrition store, CarbZero.

He furthered his expertise by obtaining a Master of Public Health in Nutrition from Loma Linda University before completing his medical degree and returning to Loma Linda to undergo residency training in rural and Family Medicine.

Following his residency, Dr. Neria dedicated over five years to academic medicine as a full-time hospitalist and Family Medicine residency faculty member. He held significant leadership roles, serving as the Program Director for the Hanford Family Medicine Residency Program and later helping to found the Tulare Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Neria remains deeply invested in medical education and continues to take great pride in teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians.

In his current clinical practice, Dr. Neria specializes in lifestyle medicine, weight loss, obesity medicine, sports nutrition, and hormone replacement therapy. His philosophy of care is rooted in his faith, as he considers it a blessing and a privilege to share God’s love through the practice of medicine. He is honored to serve the community alongside his wife, Dr. Angelina Neria, as they work together to improve the health of families across the region.

Dr. Neria is fluent in English. Outside of his professional responsibilities, he maintains his lifelong interest in fitness and nutrition, embodying the healthy principles he advocates for his patients.
