He pursued his education at Universidad Autonoma De San Luis Potosi, Facultad De Medicina, where he graduated with a medical degree in 1969 and continued his studies at the University Of Virginia School Of Medicine, graduating in 1971.
After completing his education, Dr. Salas began his career as a general practitioner and surgeon in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. His professional journey has taken him through various roles, including serving as a Certified Nurse Assistant in San Fernando, California, and working as a house officer/surgical assistant in Wheeling, West Virginia. He completed his residency and was Chief Resident in obstetrics and gynecology at West Virginia University School of Medicine - Wheeling Division. Over the years, he has worked as a staff physician and surgeon at Porterville Family Health Center, Inc., and established a successful private practice as an OB/GYN at Raul Salas, M.D., Inc., in Porterville, California. He currently serves the community at Clinica Agua Viva in Lindsay, California, where he provides comprehensive and compassionate care in OB/GYN and family practice.
